This episode pretty much confirms that the events in the facility (Takahara academy) are set in the past. Maru being Tokio's son is more probable than ever as well.
I really liked that storyteller for some reason, would gladly listen to more of his stories even if they're not real lol.

Same, he's good at telling Stories, but dumb when it comes to "hiding" secrets lol, who in their right minds wouldn't suspect someone who parks somewhere else for no reason XD. But no gonna lie when he got into the car I was 100% sure he'd run away rather than park lol.

All the video recordings from the facility are dated,and they're all 15 ,or so, years before the Great Disaster- So it's not been that big of a reveal :)

It's dated as year 17 of the Ten'ei era... which has not been explained yet. So I can think of two possibilities:
1. Everything that points to the facility being in the past is just trolling. The two storylines take place at about the same time.
2. It is actually the past (our present). In that case, there must be some additional explanation for the "Ten'ei era". For example, the facility might be run by a secret society or cult who oppose the current Japanese state and have proclaimed an era of their own (with or without an alternative emperor).
Actually, a third possibility is that the Gregorian calendar seemingly used in the Maru and Sis storyline is really something else. Then the Ten'ei era might be in our future and their 2030s somewhere further down the line. But I consider this one less likely.
